Stephen Newland of MoneyPath interviewed us (I spoke on behalf of Russ and myself) on how we handle(d) money. It’s a humbling conversation but we share a huge lesson of something we still do over a decade later.
Check out MoneyPath ~ “It’s hard to stay on track with money. We’ll help you make it easier.”

Just watched interview! Thanks for being so transparent. I really didn’t want to know how much we spent on this NY trip because I could tell we were spending so much while here. We just sat down in the airport and tallied up all our expenses. It is relieving to know the information, but also humbling to know that we went so over budget. But it gives us the knowledge to know what we can spend on our next vacation because we have a yearly budget. Knowledge is empowering! Xo h

Hillary, thanks so much for sharing your transparent money experience from your vacation time in New York!! Vacation is one of the easiest ways to justify spending, right? Just like none of the food you eat on vacation has any calories! haha Even though we had previously blogged about this ‘money story’ before, it was really hard for both of us to share this again! So humbling!! It really meant a lot to us for someone else to come forward with a vulnerable ‘money story!’ We are grateful for you and Chad and your transparency!! Thank you!! xoxo
